Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on April 16th, 1996 in Miami Florida. Her mother is English, one-half Spanish. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The father of her mother, who is Argentinean of Scottish as well as English descent is also her mother. Her mother is Spanish as well as English origin. Taylor Joy has four brothers and sisters, with one coming from each of her parents' prior marriages. The family lived in Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria region in London. Taylor Joy states that the move to England was a very difficult experience. She was not willing to study English and hoped she could move back to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was forced to change schools. Then she attended Queen's Gate School in London in which she attended ballet classes and participated in the drama department. At 16, she left school in order to take on acting as a profession. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to be an actor and her dream came true when she was offered a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
